Orange County’s history goes back at least 12,000 years when Native American and indigenous tribes inhabited the area. The Seminole and Miccosukee Tribes of Florida settled in modern-day Orange County several thousand years ago. The United States bought the territory of Florida in 1821, with the state being divided into two counties along the Suwannee River. Escambia County was to the west of the river, while St. John’s County encompassed the land east of the Suwannee River.

When Florida became a state in 1845, Orange County was created. The state continued to create additional counties as the population increased.

While oranges are the namesake of Orange County, the region has transitioned away from farming and more towards tourism since the 1980s.

If you are looking for a mobile home in Orange County in Florida, it would be wise to consider purchasing one, rather than renting. While the idea of owning a home may be scary, it is usually cheaper to own your own home long-term than to rent one. This is based on the concept of the land that you purchase appreciating, or increase in value over time.

If you’ve done any research into a mobile home in Orange County, you may have noticed the cost of real estate fluctuates depending on the area where you are searching. While some properties are expensive, you can find more affordable options. Typically, looking in smaller towns or housing markets that are just outside of urban areas will allow you to find a property with a lower asking price.

While the real estate market is hot right now, which means prices are high in many places, good deals can still be found if you are willing to do a little research. Foreclosure websites, like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, sell repossessed homes at discounted prices. Likewise, states, counties, and law enforcement agencies auction off real estate, making it important to check for sheriff sales and other auctions to find a mobile home. Orange County in Florida is a good place to find mobile homes, and if you look carefully, you might even be able to secure one below market price.
