What You Need To Know About Buying Real Estate in Indiana

Home sales are predicted to rise by as much as 15% in 2022, with prices increasing by 5.5%. The main driver for this growth is out-of-state real estate investors opting to buy houses in Indiana, where prices are still affordable but the returns are higher.

Indiana is becoming a popular location for investors as well as families and the younger generation. A good job market, a growing economy, highly rated schools, colleges and universities, an affordable but steady housing market and strong rental demand are good reasons for that. In the capital of Indianapolis, the value of homes has increased 18.3% over the past year and demand is still very strong, particularly among single-family homes.

The state is a haven for investors in houses, particularly investors from outside the state looking to capitalize on good rental returns, which have increased 12% year-over-year. Currently, rental homes make up 44% of all occupied houses in the metropolitan area. There are still many growth opportunities for investors in the state.
